IANA Launches Single Sign-On for UIIA and GIER Services
Freight industry professionals gain seamless access to multiple programs through a single portal
CALVERTON, MD (October 1, 2025) – The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) today announced the launch of single sign-on (SSO) functionality for participants in the Uniform Intermodal Interchange and Facilities Access Agreement (UIIA) and subscribers to the Global Intermodal Equipment Registry (GIER). This major enhancement streamlines access to IANA’s Information Services programs, providing greater efficiency and ease of use for the intermodal supply chain.
Through their UIIA application account, Motor Carriers can now directly access:
- • Intermodal Driver Database (IDD)
- • Equipment Return Location Directory (ERLD)
- • Street Interchange Application (SIA)
- • Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting Service (DVIR)
- • Driver Vehicle Examination Report Service (DVER)
Subscribed UIIA Equipment Providers will also gain access to IDD, SIA and ERLD through their accounts.
Intermodal Equipment Providers subscribed to GIER will now also have direct access to:
- • Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting Service (DVIR)
- • Driver Vehicle Examination Report Service (DVER)
- • Bad Order Equipment Status Service (BOES)
By consolidating multiple logins into a single access point, subscribers and participants can seamlessly move between programs while ensuring secure, reliable access to critical operational information.
