IANA Elects 2020 Board of Directors and Officers

CALVERTON, MD, January 8, 2020 — On January 1, 2020, the Intermodal Association of North America installed its 2020 Board of Directors and Officers, welcoming three new members: Robert Cannizzaro, Virginia International Terminals, Inc.; Michael Burton, C & K Trucking, LLC; and Trevor Ash, CIE Manufacturing, Inc.

Kevin Lhotak, president of Reliable Transportation Specialists, was re-elected chairman of the board. In addition to serving on the IANA board, he is a member of the board of the North American Chassis Pool Cooperative and the Intermodal Motor Carriers Conference of the American Trucking Associations.

“I look forward to working with Kevin again in the coming year,” said IANA President and CEO Joni Casey. “He brings a unique dedication, enthusiasm and knowledge basis to the issues that are addressed by IANA on behalf of the industry.”

Serving along with Lhotak as officers are: Vice Chairman Dr. Noel Hacegaba, deputy executive director at the Port of Long Beach; and Treasurer Derrick Broome, vice-president – intermodal, at C.A.T. Global Corp.

Additionally, Jason Hess, Union Pacific Railroad Company and Maryclare Kenney, CSX Transportation, were re-elected as directors. The term of service for each of these board seats is three years, beginning January 1, 2020.

Returning members of the board of directors include Shelli Austin, InTek Freight & Logistics, Inc; Douglas Hoehn, Milestone Equipment Holdings; James Newsome III, South Carolina Ports Authority; Joseph Tovo, DNJ Intermodal Services; and Thomas Williams, BNSF Railway.

IANA’s roster of more than 1,000 corporate members includes railroads, ocean carriers, ports, intermodal truckers and over-the-road highway carriers, intermodal marketing and logistic companies, and suppliers to the industry. This roster gives IANA a unique position within the intermodal community, one which is authoritative, holistic and able to affect change that benefits everyone. IANA consistently supports the shared needs, interests, and goals of its diverse members – regardless of mode or function – with business solutions, education, and networking opportunities.
