Competency and Task List

Comprehensive Competency and Task List documents have been loaded into the Digital version of The IANA Guide to Chassis Inspection and Repair. These documents are based on the 53 Intermodal Recommended Practices in the Guide, and highlight the key knowledge statements mechanics need to know in the IRP Competencies, along with their practical application in the IRP Task Lists, the goal of which are to create more uniformity in how to inspect and repair intermodal chassis and improve safety. Additionally, these tools serve as a tremendous resource to assist in the training of both new and existing mechanics.

Intermodal Equipment Reference Library

The Intermodal Equipment Reference Library serves as an additional resource in support of The IANA Guide to Chassis Inspection and Repair and those individuals who inspect and do repair work on intermodal chassis. The service-related, warranty, and recall information is provided by component manufacturers and curated by IANA from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s recall database. You can visit the library here.
