Operations Committee

IANA's Operations Committee is responsible for fostering better operational practices between intermodal transportation providers to ensure that customers receive the highest level of service. The Committee acts as a facilitator in resolving operational problems between and among intermodal providers — i.e. terminal operators, intermodal equipment providers and motor carriers. Specific focus areas involve terminal efficiencies, intermodal equipment interchange and driver productivity.

Task Force

Geofence Task Force

Leader: Ted Prince, Tiger Cool Express

The goal of the task force is to collect - and make available as part of the terminal directory - terminal geofence coordinates. If readily available, the task force will also collect geofence information for subprocess areas such as gates, parking, and roadability locations. The goal is to facilitate collection and encourage participation to provide terminal geofence data and make it available within the next 12 months for all North American intermodal terminals.
