IANA Announces 2009 Intermodal Operations & Maintenance Seminar Speakers

CALVERTON, MD, April 14, 2009 – The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) today announced the slate of speakers at its 15th Annual Intermodal Operations & Maintenance Seminar. A host of leading intermodal experts from trucking companies, railroads, suppliers and enforcement organizations will discuss the most thought-provoking issues facing the intermodal industry at the highly-anticipated event to be held April 30 at the Oak Brook Hills Marriott Hotel, in Oak Brook, Illinois. The current speakers’ slate is as follows:

State of the Intermodal Industry: Provides observations and commentary on the current intermodal environment and a short-term outlook.

Roadability Compliance Workshop Part I – Regulatory Enforcement: Offers insight on the newly-announced roadability rules from enforcement and compliance officials.

Roadability Compliance Workshop Part II Impact on Industry Operations: Provides guidance on how the industry will apply the new regulations within current operations.

Other seminar highlights include a networking breakfast and lunch, along with a special Welcome Reception. The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Intermodal Freight Technology Working Group will also meet during the seminar and offer a related, technology-focused educational program.
