IANA Selects Commonwealth to Publish Membership Handbook & Resource Directory

CALVERTON, MD and Newark, NJ – January 16, 2008—The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) has selected Commonwealth Business Media’s Seaports Publications Group (SPG) to publish the Association’s newly combined Membership Handbook & Resource Directory.

IANA’s Intermodal Product and Supplier Directory will be integrated into the Membership Handbook, creating a comprehensive industry resource that will be available in both print and online formats. This new directory will feature editorial content, industry statistics and information about businesses that service the industry, sorted by industry sector. The new product will be unveiled at IANA’s Operations and Maintenance Seminar that begins on April 30 in Oak Brook, Illinois. All IANA members will receive a copy of the Membership Handbook & Resource Directory.

Organizations that are seeking to gain exposure to and visibility with the Association’s membership and the intermodal industry in general can advertise and brand their company, its products, services and unique selling propositions both in print and online. In collaboration with IANA, SPG, based in Newark, N.J., will design and publish a printed version of the directory and build an extensive online searchable resource. In the coming weeks, IANA and SPG will post a brochure with print and online advertising rates for the IANA Membership Handbook & Resource Directory. Information will be available at www.intermodal.org and www.seaportinfo.com. Updates to the Membership Handbook & Resource Directory will be included in the SPG’s Seaports Press Review online newsletter.

“IANA is pleased to partner with Seaports Publishing Group to develop a high-quality information product that will aid our members in their daily activities,” said Tom Malloy, vice president of member services and business development at IANA. “This agreement will create exciting new business opportunities for our members and broaden their ability to interact with each other and with customers in all sectors of our industry.”

Ray Venturino, SPG publisher, stated, “We are proud to have been awarded this contract from such a prestigious industry association. As custom publishers dedicated to the association and seaports sectors for many years, we have a solid infrastructure in place to meet the needs of IANA.
