MIKE WILSON OF HAMBURG SUD N.A.
NAMED 2006 IANA CHAIRMAN

Plans to Focus Efforts on Increasing
Collaboration Between Modal Partners

Calverton, MD—At its November Board of Directors meeting, the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) elected Michael B. Wilson of Hamburg Sud North America, Inc. as its chairman for 2006. Wilson has noteworthy association leadership experience, having served IANA in various leadership capacities for nearly 10 years, while also serving the Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association. "I am extremely honored to join the ranks of IANA’s many distinguished chairmen," said Wilson, "it’s a very humbling experience and I will strive to foster collaboration on the IANA board to help address issues important to all modal partners."

Wilson has over 26 years of transportation experience, and currently serves as Vice President of Equipment and Logistics for Hamburg Sud North America, Inc. where his responsibilities include all equipment, intermodal, and logistics related functions in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, North Coast of South America and the Caribbean Basin. Prior to his work at Hamburg Sud N.A., Wilson held senior management positions at numerous steamship lines where he was responsible for all facets of operations, logistics and customer service. Transportation apparently runs in Wilson’s blood: his father, brother and sister all have had careers related to ocean carrier transportation.

"Mike Wilson has been a strong consensus builder during his years working with IANA and its diverse membership base," stated IANA President and CEO Joanne F. Casey. "We all look forward to working with Mike in 2006. He has a unique understanding of our industry and I am confident that he will be able to help forge unified positions among IANA’s modal constituents."
