Spanish Language Version of Intermodal Equipment Inspection Video Released

Greenbelt, MD) February 24, 2004—The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) and the Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) are pleased to announce the release of a Spanish language version of their popular intermodal equipment inspection video, Best Practices for Inspecting Intermodal Equipment.
This innovative resource has been designed for use by Spanish speaking drivers, mechanics, and other intermodal transportation professionals responsible for inspecting various types of intermodal equipment. The video addresses key equipment roadability issues by highlighting industry-recommended inspection techniques as well as safety aspects to be considered during the inspection process; a suggested 7-point inspection procedure; and, damage assessment and notation practices. A general overview of the suggested walk-around inspection process is also emphasized.
Jointly produced under the leadership of IANA's Maintenance and Repair Committee, in association with the IICL and a joint task force comprised of cross-functional industry representatives, the Spanish language version of Best Practices for Inspecting Intermodal Equipment is available to the general public for $79.95 and to IANA and IICL members for $59.95.
