FMCSA Roadside Inspections and Violation Data Access

Join this LIVE INSTRUCTIONAL DEMO to learn how to access this data and use it to make informed decisions about your business operations.

This instructional webinar is for IEPs and motor carriers and will cover the following topics:

Since fiscal year 2010, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and its State partners have conducted approximately 125,000 roadside inspections on intermodal equipment.

In December 2011, the FMCSA updated its information systems to allow enforcement personnel and Intermodal Equipment Providers (IEPs) to view inspection data involving intermodal equipment. The IEP inspection data has recently been updated in the system and is now available for viewing and report download.

It is the responsibility of an IEP to provide intermodal equipment that is in safe and proper operating condition. The roadside inspection gives the FMCSA and its State partners information on the condition of brakes, lighting systems, coupling devices, cargo securement, tires, etc. on a piece of intermodal equipment. That data is then used to determine which IEPs will be considered for future roadability reviews and/or enforcement cases.

Join the FMCSA, the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) to learn how to access inspection data in FMCSA's information system. During this webinar, you will learn the newest updates to the violation attribution table for motor carriers and IEPs, how to request a pin, how to access your data in the Portal, how to add users to your account, and how to view your data and make informed decisions about the operating condition of your equipment.

Register now to hear from those who are managing the FMCSA's intermodal program.
