Tennessee Express' Dave Manning Elected IANA Chairman for 2012
CALVERTON, MD, January 12, 2012 – The Intermodal Association of North America's Board of Directors today announced the results of its 2012 officers election. Dave Manning, long-time IANA member and President of Tennessee Express, Inc., was elected as the Association's new Chairman. Manning, who succeeds Steve Rubin, Principal at InterPro Advisory, LLC, most recently served as IANA's Vice Chairman. He also is former Chairman of the ATA Intermodal Motor Carriers Conference and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Tennessee Trucking Association.
The Board also elected Barry Michaels, Vice President of Intermodal Operations at the Union Pacific Railroad Co. as IANA's 2012 Vice Chairman. Michaels has served IANA since its inception in numerous capacities. He currently is Chairman of the Operations Committee, serves on the Intermodal Interchange Executive Committee, and is the 2011 winner of the Association's Silver Kingpin Award.
Jenny Johnson, Vice President of Intermodal Support Services, Inc. was also voted-in by the Board as IANA's new Treasurer. She was first elected to the Association's Board in 2007 and currently serves as the Chairman of IANA's Scholarship Committee, the group that oversees the Association's academic funding program.
IANA president and CEO Joni Casey commented, "I look forward to working with Dave, Barry and Jenny in their new leadership roles. They possess a diversity of intermodal freight transportation experience that will be extremely beneficial to the Association as we continue to promote the growth of intermodal services and advocate on behalf of IANA's members' interests."
